Our Cloud Team
The Cloud Services Centre of Excellence is a team of motivated professionals with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry and 10+ years of public cloud consulting. The team is based in Europe, primarily in UK and Bulgaria, serving Phi Partners clients globally.
Roles and Responsibilities
Financial market organisations who are looking to adopt a specific enterprise to the public cloud will strongly rely on Phi Partners to architect, develop and migrate the existing environments to the relevant public cloud platform. The Cloud Platform Engineer will responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of cloud-based applications by streamlining the development and operations processes.
The role will involve:
- Architecting and delivering Public Cloud solutions that effectively address our customers’ needs, on the Public cloud platforms;
- Facilitation of discussions, ideation, and guidance of important customer stakeholders, such as Project Managers, Architects and C-level executives, to:
- Effectively capture and interpret business requirements,
- Formulate and support technical solutions,
- Hands-on in delivering solutions.
- Customer obsession and work to establish long-term customer relationships;
- Contribution to Innovation and R&D activities addressing challenges within Phi Partners.

The following skills will aid in success in this role; however, we do not expect candidates to possess all of them except fluency in English
For the Cloud Consultant role, we would expect you to have the following:
- Good knowledge of Services provided by AWS;
- Strong customer focus and good business acumen;
- Networking and Internetworking: LAN, WAN routing & switching basics, VPN;
- Good understanding of Virtualization and Containerization technologies;
- Server Operating Systems: Proficient in deploying and managing Windows systems;
- Scripting – any of the following: Python, Ruby, GoLang, Bash and PowerShell;
- Proficient in building enterprise-grade CI/CD;
- Deep understanding and knowledge of building observability;
- Good understanding of Security Best Practices and industry trends
- Expertise in configuring and managing network platforms provided by industry-recognized leaders like Cisco, Palo Alto;
- Data Layer – Relational Database, No-SQL, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes;
- Version Control Systems – GitLab, BitBucket;
- Configuration Management tools – Chef, Puppet, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
- Identity Providers and Single Sign One tools – Active Directory (AD), AD Federation Service, OKTA and Azure SSO;
- Infrastructure as a code (IaC) experience – Pulumi, CDK, Azure Resource Manage, Google Deployment Manager, CloudFormation, etc.
- Orchestration CI/CD tools – TeamCity, CircleCI, Bamboo, etc.
- DevSecOps: SAST, DAST, WAF;
- Compliance: ISO 27001, SOC1/2/3 Personal Data Protection in Europe, PCI/DSS;
- 5+ years in the IT field, with above average knowledge of at least three of the following domains: Networking, Operating Systems Administration (Unix/Linux or Windows), Automation, Technical troubleshooting, Security.
- 3-4 years of Public Cloud Experience.
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- A Public Cloud Solution Architecture certification, at Associate level as a minimum.
