Position objective: The Production Management Engineer (PME) ensures the reliability, performance, and stability of critical production platforms by combining production support with modern DevOps, observability, and automation practices. The role focuses on transitioning from reactive incident handling to proactive reliability improvement, leveraging monitoring, automation, and AI-enabled tools. In addition, the PME supports day-to-day operations and requires a solid understanding of core application functionality to effectively troubleshoot issues and maintain system performance.


Main responsibilities:

Incident & Problem Management

  • Triage, log, and resolve production incidents in line with SLA commitments using ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow);
  • Lead incident resolution activities, including escalation, analysis, and coordination with regional and global teams;
  • Drive and coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) with relevant teams and track follow-up actions to prevent recurrence;

Observability, Monitoring & Alerting

  • Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting strategies using tools such as Elastic and AppDynamics;
  • Review and adjust alerts regularly to reduce unnecessary noise and improve effectiveness;

Automation & AI Enablement

  • Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and AIOps practices to streamline support and incident response;
  • Implement automation solutions to improve system resiliency and reduce manual effort;

Platform Engineering & Modernization

  • Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub), including troubleshooting pipeline issues and assisting with deployments;
  • Follow and apply DevSecOps best practices within pipelines, such as code quality checks and basic vulnerability scanning under guidance;
  • Work with cloud-based environments and applications, supporting performance monitoring and basic optimization activities;

Security & Compliance Engineering

  • Ensure systems comply with security monitoring and logging requirements, including tracking user activity and system changes;
  • Support detection and response to security-related incidents and vulnerabilities;
  • Collaborate with security teams on access control, risk mitigation, and audit readiness.
  • In order to be a good fit, you’ll have to bring to the table:

    Technical Skills

    • Must have: Python and scripting languages, with the ability to develop, automate, and optimize technical solutions and operational processes;
    • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and understanding of cloud-native architectures;
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals (firewalls, load balancers, DNS);
    • Strong hands-on experience with SQL (queries, reporting, data analysis).


    Tools & Technologies

    • ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow);
    • CI/CD platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub);
    • Monitoring tools (e.g., Elastic, AppDynamics);
    • Experience with AI accelerators (e.g., GitHub Copilot).


    Soft Skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
    • Effective communication skills in a globally distributed environment, familiarity with Agile way of working;
    • Ability to manage priorities under pressure and during critical incidents.


    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field;
    • Around 5 years of prior experience in a similar role, in corporate/ international environment;
    • ITIL certification or strong familiarity with ITIL practices.
