During the upcoming period a key topic will be updating Linux based modules to be NIS 2 & CRA compliant.

  • Drive automation-first infrastructure management using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Design and implement infrastructure as code using configuration management and automation tools.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications.
  • Work under strict revision control to ensure consistency and traceability in the development and maintenance of standardized Linux building blocks.
  • Implement security controls, monitoring, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents efficiently.
  • Optimize performance, availability, and capacity of infrastructure components.
  • Ensure transparent communication regarding personal capabilities and limitations, proactively requesting help when needed.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions by providing well-informed suggestions.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Key Technical Skills

Essential

  • Strong Linux expertise (Suse, Ubuntu, Debian, Rocky)
  • Infrastructure automation & configuration management (Ansible, Terraform, YAML)
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Virtualization & Compute: A good understanding of the compute layer with a focus on VMware virtualization and client-based hardware.
  • Security: Infrastructure security best practices, vulnerability scanning, CIS-CAT hardening
  • Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring solutions
  • Candidate Profile
  • Proactive and independent, capable of working with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent English
  • Automation-first mindset, always looking to optimize and script repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills & transparency (willing to share knowledge gaps and seek help when necessary).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve IT infrastructure.
  • Not an architect but able to contribute to architectural discussions by making well-founded suggestions.

If you are a highly motivated, Linux-savvy DevOps Engineer who thrives in an automation-driven environment, we encourage you to apply and help us build the infrastructure foundation for Vanderlande’s software solutions.
