Your Core Responsibilities
- Linux Administration: Maintain and optimize our RHEL/Ubuntu environments.
- Patch management
- Resource monitoring
- Optimization
- Lifecycle management
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Treat infrastructure like software. You’ll manage Linux resources using Terraform and Ansible to ensure reproducible environments. A minimum of 2y relevant experience is required.
- Used technologies: Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible & Terraform
- Scripting: Develop scripts (Bash, Python, or Go) to eliminate manual interventions and repetitive tasks.
- Security & compliance:
- Manage user access, implement OS-level security, manage certificates, ensure compliance with the used CyberSec framework at TVH
- Troubleshooting & support
- Analyse log files, test and restore backup files, participate in troubleshooting calls when required, determine RCA’s, validating and testing HA setups
- Kubernetes Experience: Manage containerized workloads, troubleshoot pod issues, and assist in a fully orchestrated microservices environment.
- Experience with the Elastic Stack
- Experience with Rancher
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, ideally at the level of cloud fundamentals or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer topics
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Relevant certifications in Ansible Automation Platform, Linux troubleshooting, or related infrastructure domains are considered a plus.
- The Mindset: You do not stop at running existing jobs. You understand how to build, improve and maintain automation, with solid hands-on experience in Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), and Terraform.
- Language skills: You communicate professionally in English, both written and spoken.
- Communication: The ability to explain complex technical "why"s to stakeholders as your influence grows.
- Red Hat Linux expertise: You have strong hands-on experience with RHEL administration and troubleshooting. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) is required, or you bring an equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
- Technical Foundation: Solid experience with Linux internals and a strong grasp of networking (DNS, Load Balancing, VPCs).
- Curiosity: A burning desire to learn how things work under the hood and a drive to stay ahead of industry trends
- Middleware awareness: You have working knowledge of middleware-related tooling and understand how to support or automate these through Ansible roles, for example in areas such as mailing services, web servers, proxies, software load balancers, and messaging platforms.
