Integrations Developer

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Integration Developer to join NEC Australia and play a key role in designing and delivering enterprise integration solutions.

In this role, you will build and support integrations that enable seamless data exchange across NEC systems and with our customers—ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Design, build, and support enterprise integration solutions using Java, Python, and C#, including APIs (REST/SOAP), services, and data pipelines
• Ensure integrations are scalable, reliable, high-performing, and secure across enterprise systems
• Develop and optimise SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, including queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning while maintaining data integrity
• Build and maintain automation and scripting solutions (PowerShell, Red Hat Ansible) to improve efficiency and streamline processes
• Leverage Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) platforms to design and implement integration workflows, and extend platform capabilities through custom code, advanced connectors, and reusable components where required
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and automation issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term fixes
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Contribute to solution design, integration architecture, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and best practices, maintaining accurate technical documentation and supporting DevOps practices

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years’ experience in software development and system integration
• Proven experience delivering enterprise integration solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• - Java, Python, C#
• - SQL Server & PostgreSQL
• - PowerShell scripting
• Experience with Red Hat Ansible (Playbooks, Roles, automation workflows)
• Strong API and integration experience (REST/SOAP, messaging, data pipelines)
• Experience with cloud integration tools such as:
• - Azure Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience working with Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solutions; ability to extend platform capabilities through custom code and advanced integrations is highly regarded
• Strong understanding of integration and engineering best practices, including secure coding, system resilience, and performance optimisation
• Experience applying responsible and secure practices in the use of AI-assisted tools for solution design, development, and code generation, ensuring governance, data protection, and quality standards are maintained
