Requirements

  • Understanding of basic cloud concepts, including networking, security, virtual machines (VMs), and databases (DBs)
  • Basic ability to monitor environments and databases
  • PowerShell skills above a beginner level
  • Previous experience working with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Basic knowledge of Git
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases.
  • Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Administrative experience with MongoDB databases.
  • Experience in creating YAML and classic pipelines.
  • Skilled in designing, implementing, and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep for automating infrastructure deployment.
  • Advanced skills in PowerShell and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance and reliability management.
  • Proficient in KQL (Kusto Query Language) scripting.
  • Strong understanding of coding and security principles.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in version control systems, particularly Git, for managing and tracking code changes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to DevOps processes.


Key responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment:

  • Designing and deploying Azure cloud infrastructure using Bicep (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Building modular, reusable Bicep templates for Azure resources (Storage Account, Key Vault, App Service, SQL Server, Analysis Services, etc.)
  • Migrating existing Azure resources from ARM JSON format to Bicep


CI/CD & Automation:

  • Configuring and maintaining Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for infrastructure deployments
  • Managing environment-specific variables across multiple environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Prod, DR) using Variable Groups
  • Automating deployments with what-if validation prior to actual rollout


Scripting & Operations:

  • Developing PowerShell scripts for Azure resource management (app settings, SSL certificate monitoring, CORS configuration, logging)
  • Automating operational tasks: secret/password rotation, SSL certificate expiry checks, Web App instance management


Governance & Security:

  • Managing infrastructure configuration across multiple environments on separate Azure subscriptions (Non-Prod / Prod)
  • Enforcing resource tagging standards and naming conventions across all environments
  • Configuring network security, TLS policies, OWASP rules on Application Gateway, and access control policies
