Are you a Senior Python Engineer who loves building the foundational systems, developer tooling, and automated infrastructure that allow complex engineering teams to move fast and scale safely?

A fast-growing robotics and autonomous systems company in Oslo is hiring several Senior Python Engineers to join our core team. This isn't a traditional support function. You will be building high-impact, production-quality internal platforms, test automation frameworks, and infrastructure that directly bridge the gap between Python development, DevOps, and cutting-edge hardware.

💡 What You Will Be Doing

• Production Python Development: Spend the majority of your time writing and improving clean, maintainable Python code across automation, developer tooling, and supporting infrastructure.
• Test Infrastructure & Automation: Build robust end-to-end test suites and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test setups that mimic real operational behavior.
• Platform Design: Design scalable, resilient backend systems that improve overall engineering quality and hold up as the company grows.
• Cross-Functional Impact: Work close to real-world physical products, building the exact platforms an engineering organization of ~40 people relies on daily.

🎯 Essential Requirements

• Python Expertise: 4+ years of professional experience developing with Python.
• Environment: Highly comfortable working in Linux-heavy environments.
• Quality Focus: A "quality-first" mindset with a genuine motivation for end-to-end testing and building reliable systems at scale.
• Versatile Background: Strong backend systems experience. (ML engineers with rock-solid backend foundations and a genuine interest in infrastructure are also highly encouraged to apply!)
• Key Specialization: Proven experience in either Python-based Test Automation OR as a Python Engineer focused on Developer Tooling / DevOps Tooling / Infrastructure.

✨ Nice to Have (But Not Required)

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or modern infrastructure tooling.
• Hardware-adjacent or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test automation experience.
