Omny is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our small, collaborative infrastructure team.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply passionate about cloud technologies and infrastructure automation, who thrives in a terminal-driven environment, and values well-designed, maintainable solutions.
As part of the team, you will design, implement, and operate infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will own the entire lifecycle of infrastructure changes from writing Terraform, developing automation to deploy through CI/CD pipelines and supporting production systems.
The role requires a proactive mindset toward reliability, security, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, including module development and state management.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to support reliable and automated deployments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, availability, and cloud resource usage.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to improve system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with software developers to support application deployments and infrastructure requirements.
- Contribute to internal tooling, automation, and infrastructure documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools, services, and technologies to improve the platform and engineering workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience with infrastructure as code, including module design, state management, and testing.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure fundamentals, including compute, networking, identity and access management (IAM), storage, and managed services.
- Proficiency in shell scripting, particularly Bash and POSIX-compliant scripting.
- Experience with coding for automation, tooling, and testing.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
- Experience designing and hardening secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD systems, including IAM design, workload identities, secrets management, network security, and least-privilege access models.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
Beneficial to have
The following experience is considered beneficial but not required:
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including App Registrations, Enterprise Applications, permissions management, admin consent workflows, and service principals.
- Experience working with multi-cloud environments, including AWS or Azure in addition to GCP.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms, such as Kubernetes (GKE) or OpenShift.
- Experience with private cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
