We are looking for a OpenShift Engineer to join our team for a multinational leader in the financial sector.
📌Key Responsibilities:
• Operate, maintain and support Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments, ensuring secure, highly available and performant clusters
• Own the reliability and observability of Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, proactively identifying risks before they become incidents
• Lead the response to production degradations, conduct post-mortems and drive systemic fixes to eliminate repeat failures
• Design and implement Ansible playbooks for automated deployment, configuration management, rolling upgrades and day-to-day operations across Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters
• Build Python tooling to automate health checks, operational workflows, alerting integrations and pipeline diagnostics
• Work closely with DevOps, SRE, Application and Security teams to resolve platform issues, conduct onboarding sessions, technical workshops and produce runbooks
• Enforce change-management policies for upgrades, configuration changes and access control
• Drive capacity planning, cluster scaling and architecture improvements in collaboration with senior and platform engineers
• Participate in an on-call rotation with a strong culture of sustainable incident management
💡Skills:
Essential:
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift 3.x and 4.x, including installation, upgrades and day-to-day administration
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes primitives such as Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, CRDs and Operators
• Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and confidence diagnosing issues at infrastructure level
• OpenShift SDN/OVN, Ingress/Egress, Service Mesh basics, Load Balancers, NetworkPolicy, CSI drivers, persistent volumes and snapshots
• Ansible, Terraform, Helm, OpenShift Operator SDK and Bash/Python scripting
• Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana and Opentelemetry basics
Desirable:
• 4–6 years of Linux/Unix system administration or cloud platform engineering experience
• At least 2–3 years dedicated to OpenShift/Kubernetes administration in production
• Experience managing clusters of 200 or more nodes and 2,000 or more Pods
• Multi-cluster or multi-region operations experience
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Bitbucket or Argo CD
• Experience working in ITIL environments, including change control, incident management and request management
• Knowledge of Process & Quality management and Agile principles including Scrum and Kanban
• Experience with ServiceNow and CyberArk
