Enterprise Integration & Jira Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly versatile, forward-thinking Enterprise Integration & Jira Automation Engineer to join our Security Operations team. In this hybrid role, you will act as the ultimate architect of efficiency, dividing your expertise between designing robust enterprise integrations using the Boomi platform and building advanced workflow automations within our Atlassian ecosystem (Jira, Confluence).

This role is designed for a technical problem-solver who excels at connecting disparate applications, eliminating manual overhead, and creating frictionless, automated workflows that empower our engineering, product, and business teams to operate at peak velocity.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of enterprise application integration and workflow automation. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and business leaders to translate operational requirements into scalable, automated solutions. You will be measured on data synchronization accuracy, process efficiency gains, and the successful delivery and maintenance of robust cross-platform integrations.

Enterprise Integration (Boomi)

• Design & Deploy: Design, build, test, and deploy end-to-end integration processes (Application integration, B2B, and APIs) using Boomi AtomSphere.
• Data Synchronization: Connect core systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, HRIS, Databases) to ensure seamless, real-time data synchronization.
• System Maintenance: Monitor integration logs, troubleshoot data mapping anomalies, and optimize pipeline performance.
• Workflow Automation & Cross-Platform Orchestration
• Workflow Architecture: Architect, configure, and maintain advanced Jira workflows, screen schemes, and permission structures.
• Advanced Automations: Build sophisticated automation rules using Jira’s native Automation engine and plugins like ScriptRunner or JSU.
• Cross-Tool Integration: Build custom integrations between Jira and external technical tools (e.g., GitHub, Slack, CI/CD pipelines, or ITSM tools) using Boomi, Webhooks, and REST APIs.

Governance & Technical Documentation

• Standards & Best Practices: Establish best practices for data integrity, API management, and Atlassian governance to prevent tool sprawl and technical debt.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for all integrations and automated workflows.

Who You Are

• Experienced Integrator: You have 2+ years of hands-on experience building integrations on the Boomi platform, including XML/JSON mapping, data profiling, and custom Groovy/JavaScript scripting.
• Atlassian Specialist: You have 2+ years of experience administering and automating Jira Cloud or Data Center, including deep familiarity with JQL (Jira Query Language) and API usage.
• Technical Developer: You bring strong proficiency in scripting (Groovy or JavaScript) for custom data manipulation in Boomi and script-based automation in Jira (ScriptRunner).
• API Fluent: You possess a strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and HTTP protocols.
• Automation Mindset: You have a natural instinct to look at a repetitive manual process and figure out how to automate it, backed by excellent consulting skills to gather non-technical business requirements.

Nice to Have

• Boomi Certified: Boomi Associate or Professional Integration Developer certification.
• Atlassian Certified: Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator (ACP) or equivalent automation badges.
