💼 Your mission – or, in other words: your tasks



  • You will be responsible for the operation and configuration of LAN and WLAN environments with a focus on our customer locations.

  • You are responsible for working independently on customer projects in the area of LAN/WLAN.

  • You ensure continuous and highly available operation.

  • Troubleshooting and eliminating faults in network environments is also one of your tasks.

  • You will also carry out error analysis and root cause analysis in the network context.

  • You are also the contact person in 2nd level support for questions in the network area.

  • The creation of reports and documentation of network environments round off your area of responsibility.

Skills

🧠 What you bring to the table – besides the desire to make a difference

  • You have completed an apprenticeship (IT specialist) or a bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • You already gained several years of professional experience in the professional support of networks and experience in the areas of TCP/IP, OSI Layer 1-7.
  • You have good knowledge about Cisco Catalyst Series (9000er Switch Series and Catalyst WLAN Controller).
  • Experience in measuring and simulating WLAN infrastructures is desirable.
  • Additional knowledge about Cisco Meraki, Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center and Ruckus LAN/WLAN components would be beneficial.
  • For automation, you have knowledge of Ansible, Python and the use of APIs on network components.
  • You have basic knowledge of network management tools (e.g. Zabbix, Netbox, openNMS).
  • Relevant Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) would be desirable.
  • You speak business fluent English - both written and spoken / German language skills are desirable.
