The Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer plays a critical role in driving automation-first strategies across infrastructure services. This role combines strong technical expertise with hands-on implementation, focusing on Ansible, Linux environments, and scalable automation solutions to support enterprise operations.

- Define and implement infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible across Linux and Windows environments
- Design and manage automation workflows, job templates, and role-based access control within Ansible Automation Platform
- Automate Day-2 operations including patching, configuration drift remediation, monitoring, backup, and incident response
- Develop reusable automation playbooks, modules, and CI/CD pipelines for consistent infrastructure deployment
- Implement self-healing and auto-remediation mechanisms to improve system reliability and reduce downtime
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security across automated infrastructure processes
- Maintain version-controlled infrastructure code repositories and enforce best practices
- Ensure compliance with security policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards through policy-driven automation
- Collaborate with Cloud, Security, and Operations teams to align automation initiatives with business objectives
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting new automation tools and methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- 10+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with at least 5 years in automation
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and solid Linux administration experience
- Proven experience in Ansible Automation Platform including workflows, RBAC and credential management
- Hands-on experience with VM provisioning, infrastructure automation and system hardening
- Experience in automating Day-2 operations such as patching, monitoring and remediation
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell or PowerShell
- Good understanding of networking, security and system administration principles
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a complex environment
- Experience with container orchestration technologies
- Knowledge of GitOps methodologies
- Experience in cloud security automation and compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS)
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana or ELK stack
- Exposure to AI-driven automation (AIOps) or ChatOps
