Job Description
The Infrastructure Engineer will join a dynamic and growing Global IT organization with global support responsibilities, particularly across Europe. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the local office and for maintaining and supporting our critical infrastructure across US and EMEA.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a central point of contact, working with other team members to maintain and operate the network, video conferencing, Linux servers, and help desk support.
- Provide desktop support to all local users.
- Own Active Directory and DNS infrastructure for US/EMEA with high availability and high performance, including migrating critical components to Microsoft Azure.
- Maintain and improve our O365 security posture.
- Roll out MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) and SSO to all EMEA users.
- Operate and maintain Zoom and Microsoft Teams infrastructure.
- Lead the next-generation phone system rollout — IP-Phone infrastructure for EMEA.
- Partner with the Security Engineering team to roll out DLP and EDR clients to all supported endpoints; maintain and uphold our security standards.
- Support our engineering community and production Linux infrastructure — install, upgrade, and maintain the health of Linux servers.
- Back up all servers and restore on request.
- BS in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in the following areas:
- Microsoft Azure
- Active Directory, DNS, Exchange, O365
- Email security platforms — Proofpoint, Armorblox
- Zoom integration — Zoom Rooms, Zoom Voice
- Fortinet — SSLVPN
- SSO — Beyond Identity
- Microsoft SCCM
- Familiarity with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
- GitLab experience.
- Windows and Linux system administration experience.
- Scripting, coding, and automation skills (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across Linux servers, desktop, and networking.
- Team player — collaborates effectively with team members and shares knowledge.
- Project management experience — waterfall and agile methodologies.
- ITIL v4 certification.
- Microsoft certifications — O365 and Azure.
- German language proficiency (spoken and written) is a strong plus.
- Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-region IT environment.
