We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits within the Commerce Site Reliability Engineering organization in Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with leaders across Commerce and Consumer Products to ensure reliability, scalability, and security for critical systems, powering magical Guest experiences.
The SRE will report to the Manager of SRE for Commerce.
What You'll Do:
- Participate in DevOps development trains to drive observability
- Assist with designing, building, and supporting products platforms
- Support development pipelines, automation infrastructure and operations
- Systems administration skills on the AWS, Azure, GCP, and on premise servers, web technologies, source control management using Github and Gitlab
- Support platforms and bring knowledge on systems, network, operational excellence and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, operational excellence and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation
- You will be encouraged to stay up to date with emerging technologies
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Proficient in an agile environment
- Experience with bash, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Windows
- Familiarity with commercial and open-source monitoring platforms
- Demonstrated proficiency in SDLC concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and test-driven development
- Skilled in code management, configuration, and deployment tools like git
- Experience with Ansible, Chef, Microservices, Restful APIs
- Knowledgeable in Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with web caching, load balancing, CDN, networking technologies, especially Akamai
- Applying security best practices to application and infrastructure
- Proficient in modern code-management practices for collaboration
- Proficient in in monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk Observability, New Relic, DataDog, Thousand Eyes, etc.. with a keen interest in continuous learning and skill development
- Strong knowledge in at least 2 cloud providers with deep knowledge in 1 to 2 monitoring tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
