Cloud Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join a highly secure technology environment supporting critical UK infrastructure. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies in a secure, air-gapped environment, providing operational support for business-critical platforms and services.

Working as part of a 24/7 operations team, you'll play a key role in maintaining the availability and performance of secure cloud infrastructure, resolving technical issues, supporting users, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Linux and cloud operations experience looking to develop specialist skills within a highly secure environment.

• 30% shift allowance on top of base salary

What You Need

• Experience supporting Linux-based environments in a production or operations setting
• Knowledge of computer systems, networking and infrastructure support
• Experience with Kubernetes administration or support
• Hands-on experience using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, platform and networking issues using Linux tools
• Experience supporting live services and resolving technical incidents
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Willingness to learn modern secure cloud technologies and air-gapped cloud environments
• Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance, including meeting the UK residency requirements and British nationality criteria specified for the role
