Senior Infrastructure Systems Engineer - Cloud/Linux

Job Duties
- Proactively maintain, monitor, and support the infrastructure environment, recommending enhancements to improve performance and reliability
- Monitor systems to identify and resolve performance issues, and prepare regular status reviews and reports
- Lead or contribute to the development of low-level architecture design
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system builds, configuration, and modifications
- Deploy application and systems across complex Cloud and on-premise environments
- Partner with IT support teams to perform root cause analysis and identify solutions
- Participate in after-hours systems implementations as needed
- Continuously adjust systems to optimize system performance and functionality
- Collect and publish IT metrics and use data to make process improvement recommendations
- Document and implement system change control in response to organizational policy changes and scheduled implementations
- Provide 24/7 support through a rotating on-call schedule, adhering to defined service level expectations
- Routinely collaborate with and mentor fellow engineers and administrators, promoting innovation and continuous improvement in technology practices
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in providing systems support for complex on-premise and Cloud environments
- Experience leading in the engineering of enterprise-wide Linux server environments
- Experience with enterprise server and datacenter technologies
- Experience with recovery methodologies and technologies supporting an enterprise-wide environment
- Experience in engineering with enterprise AWS and/or Azure Cloud is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, data networks, virtualization, IT security, web servers and storage technologies
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, effectively handling a variety of responsibilities
- Strong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to resolve complex issues with minimal direction
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 applications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred
- Certification/License: AWS and/or Azure Cloud certifications preferred
Target Compensation: $116,500 - $140k annually + annual bonus
