Who We Are

Dropit is a SaaS multichannel digital platform providing cutting-edge solutions for shopping centers, retailers, and consumers. Founded in 2016 with the launch of Handsfree Shopping in London’s West End, we are present in over 500 stores across more than 350 brands throughout the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, and Italy. Our omnichannel fulfillment Platform and industry-first Marketplace unify retail in-store and online.

As we continue to push the boundaries of retail tech, we are currently developing our brand-new Decision Intelligence platform—a powerful, data-driven solution focused on Driving Retail Performance through advanced analytics and insights.

Our vision is to enable the entire retail ecosystem to work together and meet the needs of the shared consumer in a way that’s collaborative, efficient, and sustainable.

About the Role

Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team in Tel Aviv! We are seeking a versatile DevOps Engineer who will take part in owning our cloud infrastructure while playing a critical, hands-on role in our IT operations, security, and compliance efforts.

In this role, you will split your focus between driving heavy Terraform automation on GCP, scaling our GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters using Helm, and supporting our infrastructure's security protocols. Beyond the infrastructure, you will be a key enabler for the company, ensuring our R&D team has a clean, smooth, and high-velocity development experience, while supporting our next-generation Decision Intelligence platform and evolving AI/LLM initiatives.

What We're Looking For

A proactive, security-minded DevOps Engineer who enjoys code-driven infrastructure but is equally passionate about systems administration and operational security. You are a dedicated team player and a passionate self-learner who loves picking up new technologies. You are genuinely 'good with people,' comfortable supporting the entire company's IT needs, and deeply invested in creating a frictionless environment for our engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure as Code & Cloud: Design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure using heavy Terraform automation across our GCP and GKE environments, utilizing Helm for application deployment and package management.
  • Developer Experience (DX) Optimization: Partner closely with the R&D team to build clean, frictionless development workflows, ensuring their day-to-day engineering experience is smooth and efficient.
  • Security & Compliance Support: Maintain and enforce security controls required to uphold our GDPR and ISO certifications.
  • Data Stack & AI Support: Support the infrastructure needs for innovative internal projects, including data pipelines for Decision Intelligence and LLM/Agentic workflows.
  • Automation & Coding: Develop clean, maintainable Python scripts to automate IT workflows, deployment pipelines, and monitoring alerts.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Maintain and enhance SOC/NOC monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
  • IT & Systems Administration: Manage corporate IT infrastructure, network administration, and internal systems to support company-wide operations with a service-oriented approach.

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer with a solid background in cloud infrastructure and IT/Systems administration.
  • GCP, GKE & Helm Expertise: Solid, above-basic hands-on experience managing Google Cloud Platform services, production GKE clusters, and a strong proficiency with Helm (highly important).
  • Heavy Terraform Experience: Production-grade knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and state management.
  • Strong Team Player & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills—someone who is truly 'good with people' and eager to support both non-technical internal teams with IT and the R&D team with engineering workflows.
  • Proactive Self-Learner: A proven ability to independently research, test, and pick up new technologies, tools, and frameworks quickly.
  • Security-Minded: A strong security-oriented mindset with an awareness of how to implement standard security best practices across cloud environments.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Good foundational knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., VPCs, DNS, firewalls, routing, and VPNs).
  • Python Coding Abilities: Strong Python scripting skills for automation, tooling, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with AI Trends: Basic familiarity or hands-on exposure to LLMs and Agentic flows/workflows.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with advanced observability stacks (GCP Monitoring, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK).
  • Knowledge of databases and message brokers (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ClickHouse).
  • Understanding of GitOps principles and tools.
