DevOps Engineer

Position: Devops Engineer

Location: Guadalajara, MX Onsite

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for our software projects, ensuring automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Design and implement robust and scalable AWS cloud architectures, leveraging expertise in AWS services and solutions.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the build and release processes for various services.

• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like Terraform.

• Manage and optimize IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, ensuring maximum security, efficiency and performance.

• Develop and maintain detailed solution plans, blueprints, and documentation for cloud-based architectures and infrastructure.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.

• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain best practices for security and compliance.

• Mentor and provide guidance to junior DevOps team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Ability to program in Go as the language used for all test automation

• Sufficient proficiency in Python and the PIP package manager to create an example test project

• Sufficient proficiency in NPM and the NPM package manager to create an example test project

• Sufficient proficiency in Docker to create an example test project

• Proficiency in with Google Cloud Platform and the gcloud CLI for creating resources and automation to run cloud hosted tests

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.

• Hands-on experience with GCP cloud services.

• Solid experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Experience with infrastructure as code (eg Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
