AWS Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join a client-facing delivery team responsible for cloud operations, infrastructure implementations, and migration projects. In this role, you will manage day-to-day AWS cloud operations, implement automated cloud solutions, support cloud migrations, and work closely with solution architects and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day operations, administration, and support of AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure cloud environments meet performance, security, scalability, availability, and maintainability standards.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Maintain AWS cloud environments through automation, monitoring, and documentation.
- Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to deploy and support cloud solutions.
- Participate in cloud migration projects, including virtual machine and database migrations.
- Support client discussions, operational meetings, and continuous process improvements.
- Troubleshoot incidents and resolve issues within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Keep AWS certifications and technical knowledge current with evolving cloud technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AWS cloud operations, administration, implementation, and deployments.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- AWS cloud services
- Cloud migrations
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience managing production cloud environments and operational support.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-facing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (Required)
- AWS Specialty Certification (Preferred)
- Additional AWS certifications in DevOps, Database, or other specialty areas are advantageous.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container platforms.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is an advantage.
