Company Description

BlackBull Markets is a multi-regulated, multi-asset broker headquartered in Auckland, New Zealand, operating across five global jurisdictions. We combine fast execution, 24/7 customer support, and access to over 26,000 tradable instruments to serve traders at every level. Team members join a company focused on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement in financial technology.

Role Description

The Trading Platform Support Engineer keeps our client-facing trading platforms and the infrastructure behind them running reliably, with a strong focus on MT4, MT5, and cTrader environments.

This is a junior role working alongside our trading operations and DevOps teams. Platform-specific training is provided, but you will need a solid grounding in server-side IT to succeed and grow into the role quickly.

What you will do

  • Trading platform administration: administer, configure, and maintain MT4, MT5, and cTrader environments, including server roles, access management, liquidity and bridge connections, plugins, and platform updates
  • Systems engineering and automation: monitor systems with Zabbix and other observability tools, and build automation and scripts in PowerShell or Python to streamline operations
  • Trading connectivity: configure, support, and troubleshoot [bridge/FIX connections – confirm], working closely with liquidity providers and bridges to support trade flow stability
  • General systems administration: maintain Windows servers, oversee patching, backups, and security hardening, and provide technical support across teams

What you bring

  • Hands-on experience managing MT4, MT5, or cTrader platforms
  • Experience with monitoring systems such as Zabbix
  • Scripting ability in PowerShell, Python, or similar
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional after-hours support

Nice to have

Experience with other bridge or aggregator technology, and familiarity with security frameworks and best practice in fintech environments.

Why this role

You will be the first line of defence for the platforms our traders rely on every day, with direct exposure to live trading infrastructure and room to grow into broader platform and security engineering over time.
