Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and resilient Senior DevOps Engineer (PaaS/CI/CD) to join our mission-critical Payments Platform team in Dubai. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering, scaling, and maintaining high-velocity deployment pipelines that power our core financial infrastructure.

Given the nature of the ecosystem, you will frequently deploy high-velocity updates, including urgent, time-sensitive compliance and systemic changes mandated by the Central Bank. The ideal candidate brings a robust background in container orchestration, advanced pipeline automation, and enterprise GitOps methodologies within tightly regulated environments.

Core Technical Skill Set

Mandatory Requirements :

  • Containerization & Orchestration : Deep production-level expertise in Kubernetes and enterprise-grade Red Hat OpenShift.
  • CI/CD Automation : Expert-level knowledge of Jenkins and GitOps CD workflows utilizing ArgoCD.
  • Configuration Management : Advanced proficiency in writing and maintaining complex Helm Charts for application packaging.
  • Pipeline Infrastructure as Code : Strong, hands-on exposure to creating modular Groovy Pipelines, including the development and maintenance of Jenkins Shared Libraries.
  • Source Control : Advanced Git proficiency, encompassing complex branching strategies, merge management, and repository security best practices.

Preferred / "Good-to-Have" Skills :

  • Service Mesh : Exposure to Istio for traffic management, observability, and microservice security.
  • API Management : Hands-on exposure to 3scale (Red Hat API Management) for API gateway configuration and policy enforcement.
  • Domain Experience : Prior background working within banking, fintech, or payment processing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • High-Velocity Pipeline Engineering :
  • Design, build, and optimize scalable end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to facilitate high-velocity software delivery without compromising system stability.
  • Author and modularize reusable automation frameworks using Jenkins Shared Libraries (Groovy) to standardize deployment workflows across teams.
  • Platform & Cluster Management :
  • Administer, scale, and secure enterprise OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters hosting critical payment applications.
  • Implement declarative GitOps deployment models using ArgoCD and package applications efficiently via Helm.
  • Regulatory & Payments Operations :
  • Support rapid, zero-downtime deployment cycles driven by fast-moving product roadmaps and mandatory Central Bank compliance changes.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure payment systems adhere to strict financial regulatory standards.
  • Traffic & API Management (Advantageous) :
  • Assist in configuring and managing service meshes (Istio) for microservices routing, and manage secure API endpoints via 3scale.
