Senior Consultant – Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Consultant with strong, hands-on, day-to-day experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). This is a delivery-focused role — you'll be designing, building, and running automation in real client environments, not just talking about it. If your Ansible experience is primarily theoretical or certification-based, this role won't be the right fit.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections following best practices (idempotency, modularity, version control)
  • Deploy, configure, and administer Ansible Automation Platform 2.x Networking Automation — Automation Controller, Execution Environments, Private Automation Hub, and RBAC
  • Build and manage workflows, job templates, inventories (static and dynamic), and credential management within AAP
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, patching, and compliance across Linux (RHEL) environments
  • Integrate Ansible/AAP with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and enterprise tooling (ServiceNow, monitoring, cloud platforms)
  • Lead client workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into automation solutions
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation estates for performance and reliability
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal delivery standards
What We're Looking For
  • 3–5 years of hands-on production experience with Ansible — writing, testing, and maintaining playbooks and roles in live environments
  • Active, practical experience with AAP 2.x (or Ansible Tower) Networking Automation — installation, upgrades, day-2 administration, and troubleshooting
  • Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL preferred)
  • Solid Git experience and familiarity with CI/CD concepts (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Understanding of Execution Environments, ansible-builder, and collection management
  • Experience with dynamic inventories and automating against cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and/or network devices is a plus
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Developing Automation with Ansible Automation Platform) are a strong advantage
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills; comfortable leading technical discussions
  • Based in the UAE or able to relocate quickly; willingness to travel regionally for projects
