About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Python Automation Engineer to design and build scalable automation and web data extraction solutions for secure, enterprise-level environments. This individual will play a key role in architecting cloud-native automation platforms that interact with complex web applications, authentication-protected portals, and multiple external data sources.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Python development, browser automation, AWS serverless technologies, and building resilient automation frameworks capable of operating at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Python-based automation and web scraping solutions using Playwright and related technologies.
• Build scalable, serverless automation pipelines leveraging AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager.
• Develop secure automation workflows capable of navigating JavaScript-heavy applications, multi-factor authentication, session management, and complex login processes.
• Create highly reliable data extraction systems with intelligent logging, monitoring, retry logic, and fault tolerance across multiple data sources and APIs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to influence architecture, establish best practices, and deliver high-quality automation solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• 10+ years of Python development experience with extensive expertise in automation, web scraping, and browser automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Scrapy, or BeautifulSoup.
• Strong experience deploying cloud-native solutions within AWS, including Lambda, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and Step Functions.
• Solid understanding of authentication workflows, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, APIs, asynchronous programming, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience building enterprise-grade automation or data engineering solutions involving secure portals, ETL workflows, orchestration tools (Airflow or Step Functions), and automated testing frameworks.
