Job Title: Lead Automation Platform Engineer - Branch Architecture & Zero-Touch Provisioning

Duration: 12+ Months

Role Purpose

Lead the transformation of existing SD-Branch environments into a unified, standardized Branch architecture

Design and deliver a fully automated, plug-and-play Branch deployment model with Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP)

Accelerate enterprise automation initiatives through hands-on engineering and rapid execution

Reduce operational overhead by automating deployment, configuration, validation, and lifecycle management processes

Key Responsibilities

Branch Architecture & Zero-Touch Provisioning

Design and implement a standardized Branch architecture across enterprise environment

Develop end-to-end Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) workflows for Branch deployment

Automate Day-0, Day-1, and Day-2 Branch operations and lifecycle managemenT

Enable plug-and-play site deployments requiring minimal manual intervention

Automation & Workflow Orchestration

Design and build stateful, fault-tolerant workflows using Temporal/ORCA

Implement workflow validation, retry, timeout, rollback, and compensation mechanisms

Create reusable orchestration patterns for deployment and operational automation

Source of Truth & Infrastructure Automation

Integrate and extend Nautobot as the authoritative source of truth for intent, topology, and IPAM

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using GitHub Actions and Temporal

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub and GitHub Actions

Operational Automation & API Enablement

Build Ansible-based automation for configuration management, compliance, remediation, and change execution

Expose automation capabilities through APIs using Apigee

Implement observability and monitoring using Grafana and/or Prometheus
