Tech Solutions Engineer

We're looking for a technically strong, business-facing engineer to support a fast-paced front office environment within a leading investment firm. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, infrastructure, and end users-working directly with investment teams to deliver reliable, scalable technology solutions.

This is a high-visibility opportunity with exposure to trading workflows, cloud platforms, and modern engineering tooling.

What You'll Be Doing

* Act as a key point of contact for investment professionals, providing hands-on support and technical guidance across core systems and tools
* Partner with developers and analysts to improve how applications are built, deployed, and monitored across cloud and on-prem environments
* Help drive adoption of modern platform technologies (cloud services, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration tools)
* Collaborate with engineering and data teams to streamline processes, automate workflows, and promote best practices
* Troubleshoot complex production issues, ensuring timely resolution while continuously improving system reliability and support processes
* Work cross-functionally to identify gaps, enhance tooling, and improve the overall user experience

What We're Looking For

* Strong foundation in Linux systems and scripting/programming (Python preferred)
* Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, infrastructure concepts, and automation tooling
* A proactive mindset with a strong interest in learning and improving systems

Nice to Have

* Experience in financial services, trading, or other real-time environments
* Exposure to distributed systems, messaging technologies, or data platforms
* Hands-on experience with tools across the modern DevOps stack (containers, orchestration, CI/CD, IaC, etc.)
