On the SRE team, you’ll have the opportunity to manage the complex challenges of scale which are unique to Google Cloud, while using your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis and large-scale system design. Core Networking SRE's mission is to design, develop, and manage policies and systems to improve the reliability of Google's production networks. Specifically, the team works to enhance the reliability and scalability of Google's production networks, focusing on the data center and wide area network (WAN) production network.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Ireland: €150000 - €154000 (EUR) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Design and safely introduce new products and features to data center and WAN networks.
- Consult and contribute to enhancements in Google's software defined networking (SDN) stack.
- Drive strategic efforts to improve mean time to detect (MTTD) and mitigation (MTTM) for incidents.
- Protect ML network reliability by improving ML network observability tooling, and provide emergency response for the ML network related incidents.
- Drive standardization in network management tools, workflows, and processes to minimize human involvement and simplify emergency response.
