About the Role

The Systems Engineering team is responsible for all technical infrastructure, from latency optimized systems that execute trades at financial exchanges around the world to massive computing clusters used for quantitative research. This is a unique opportunity to make a large impact at a world class financial technology firm on the cutting edge. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working in a very fast-paced and demanding environment.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience in managing Linux systems at a large scale with open source software
• Proficient in at least one major configuration management system, such as Ansible, Chef, Salt
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Expertise in scripting in Python or shell

Detailed understanding of:

• computer hardware
• Linux kernel configuration and tuning
• systemd

Willing to participate in weekend change work
