IT Support Engineer

The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, monitor, and support hybrid IT environments that integrate internal systems with vendor platforms. Responsibilities span technical operations, deployment engineering, site operations, and application support, with a focus on system reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute daily operational activities across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments.
- Participate in software deployments (pre-release, upgrades, production).
- Support monitoring, performance tuning, and system reliability improvements.
- Assist with compatibility assessments and process development.
- Support Azure, VMware, servers, networking, and database environments.
- Administer Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, IIS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP).
- Maintain monitoring platforms and environment health.
- Assist with lower-environment maintenance and data processes.
- Develop basic scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to automate tasks.
- Analyze system data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend enhancements to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Monitor alerts and respond to incidents, including on-call rotation.
- Troubleshoot SSO, application, infrastructure, and performance issues.
- Coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors.
- Document incidents, root causes, and solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in a technical role OR High school Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a technical role.
- Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
- Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
- Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
- Experience with Azure, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability platforms.
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Analytical skills for identifying trends and driving improvements.
- Knowledge of programming languages and IT best practices.
- Experience in technical operations, application support, or site reliability.
Salary Range: $79300 - $127000 / Salaried
