About The Role
Reed Tech is seeking a Systems Engineer III responsible for the design, implementation, administration, automation, and support of enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role serves as a technical lead for complex infrastructure initiatives, ensuring the availability, security, performance, and reliability of critical business systems while collaborating across Cloud Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering, GRC and security teams.

Accountabilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Administer Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise authentication services.
- Lead vulnerability remediation efforts by identifying, prioritizing, testing, and deploying operating system, firmware, and application security updates to maintain compliance with organizational service level agreements (SLAs) and security policies.
- Implement, maintain, and validate secure system configurations by applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), vendor hardening guidance, and organizational security baselines across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and cloud environments.
- Manage virtualization platforms including Hyper-V.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise storage solutions including SAN, NAS, and backup platforms.
- Develop infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar technologies.
- Lead operating system lifecycle management including upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning.
- Administer Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and endpoint management technologies.
- Implement and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Support certificate management, PKI, encryption, and enterprise identity services.
- Perform vulnerability remediation using tools such as Qualys, Tanium, Microsoft Defender, or similar platforms.
- Coordinate and resolve operating system and third-party software patch management.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure standards, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management, maintenance planning, and production implementations.
- Develop and maintain automated patching, configuration management, and compliance validation processes using PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or similar automation tools to improve security posture and operational efficiency..
- Participate in on-call support rotation as required.
- Candidate must be a US citizen and able to receive Public Trust Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 6–8 years of enterprise systems engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration.
- Experience administering Linux operating systems.
- Experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and enterprise authentication.
- Experience supporting virtualization platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Strong PowerShell scripting experience.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience implementing enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage platforms.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in New Jersey, the base pay range is $84,546 - $135,054. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
