You’ll work closely with IT and development teams to embed security into the full lifecycle, from design through to delivery, while driving initiatives across threat modelling, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
This is a hands-on, high-impact position suited to an experienced cybersecurity professional who enjoys influencing security strategy, working across diverse environments, and contributing to a mature, scalable security posture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and implementing measurable security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure), on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Embedding security into design, development, and delivery processes in collaboration with IT and software teams.
- Supporting threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews for new and existing systems.
- Evaluating and implementing security technologies and tools (e.g. SIEM, EDR, Zero Trust frameworks).
- Contributing to incident response, forensic investigations, and governance/compliance efforts (SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight).
- Championing secure development practices including DevSecOps and S-SDLC.
- Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or equivalent. Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.
- Experience - 5+ years in cybersecurity roles, with at least 2 years in a security architecture or security engineering position within a commercial software or enterprise IT environment.
- Specialisation - Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure), identity and access management, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity frameworks. Experience with secure development practices is highly regarded.
