About the Position:

To support and respond to our needs, we are now looking for an Kubernetes database engineer to join a dynamic team in the Porto area, under a hybrid arrangement.

What are you going to do ?

• Deploy, manage, and optimize stateful database workloads on Kubernetes (PostgreSQL);
• Implement persistent storage, backup/restore pipelines, data replication, and HA/DR strategies;
• Develop automation for provisioning, upgrades, and scaling using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Monitor and troubleshoot database and cluster performance;
• Ensure strong security: RBAC, encryption, secrets management, network policies;
• Collaborate with DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Development teams to design database-as-a-service patterns.

What we are looking for?

• Master’s degree in information technology, maths, Physics or other similar field;
• Experience working with Kubernetes and Python;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, and Iac using diferente technologys such as Terraform and Ansible;
• Able to work independently with the minimum of supervision;
