DevOps Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!

The Role

• Responsible for the architecture, implementation, and operation of a software development platform.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize the container-based development platform during operation.

• Support existing software development platforms across various security domains.

• Collaborate closely with and support developers directly at client sites.

• Secure the development platform according to IT baseline protection and other requirements, and create information security concepts.

• Work in agile and virtual teams across multiple locations.

What You'll Need

• Completed degree in computer science or equivalent training.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps environment.

• Strong knowledge in deployment automation with Ansible and administration of Linux server systems.

• Extensive experience in deploying/operating containerized applications on Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with CI/CD toolchains (including GitLab, GitLab-CI, SonarQube, Nexus, Harbor) and build pipelines.

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby) and command-line interpreters (e.g., Bash, PowerShell).

• High motivation, initiative, and ability to work independently.

• Willingness for occasional business travel.

• Strong team and communication skills, responsibility, diligence, and perseverance.

• Excellent German and English language skills.
