Role: Platform Engineer (AWS)

Location: Boston, MA (3 days onsite)

Package: $165,000 - $185,000 + 20% Bonus + 10% Profit share ($240k cash comp)

Position Overview

The Platform Engineer will join a cross-functional team responsible for building and maintaining cloud services that support application development and investment infrastructure. The role focuses on reusable application templates, delivery patterns, and operational support for systems running on AWS and Kubernetes. The team enables product teams to deliver faster through automation, tooling, and sound architecture.


This role follows a hybrid work model (3 days per week onsite in Boston).


What You’ll Do

  • Build cloud services and tooling using AWS (EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, ParallelCluster)
  • Partner with development teams and cloud vendors to guide application operations
  • Drive automation across the software delivery lifecycle
  • Review and approve code changes
  • Modernize the technology stack and improve system reliability and observability
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation
  • Mentor junior engineers


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering
  • Strong experience building scalable services in AWS
  • Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux
  • Experience with Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize (CDK a plus)
  • Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
  • Experience migrating legacy workloads to AWS
  • Proficiency in scripting and one or more languages such as Python, Go, TypeScript, or C#
  • Solid understanding of networking, storage, and system troubleshooting
