The Role:
Piaggio Fast Forward (PFF) is seeking a highly technical DevOps Engineer to help build and scale the cloud, automation, and deployment infrastructure powering gita®, kilo® , our automotive products and future PFF products. You'll work at the intersection of software, infrastructure, and automation—owning CI/CD pipelines, AWS environments, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code while enabling engineering teams to ship reliable software at speed.
What You'll Do
- Architect, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, security, and automation
- Build and manage Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management, reusable patterns)
- Configure and optimize GitHub (repos, branching strategies, GitHub Actions, integrations, permissions)
- Design, maintain, and extend Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments
- Develop automation to streamline development workflows, environment provisioning, and release processes
- Implement containerized environments using Docker and AWS container services (ECS/EKS)
- Perform system performance tuning, load testing, and reliability analysis
- Monitor and troubleshoot production and staging environments using AWS native tools and open‑source observability stacks
- Collaborate closely with Software, QA, and Operations teams to improve deployment velocity and system resilience
- Document infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes for internal engineering teams
- 3–5 years of hands‑on DevOps engineering experience
- Strong expertise with AWS (IAM, EC2, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation)
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform (IaC best practices, modular design, automation workflows)
- Experience configuring and managing GitHub at scale
- Deep experience building and maintaining Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
- Strong Linux fundamentals and shell scripting skills
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration
- Familiarity with Java, C/C++, or Python build environments
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
- Knowledge of open‑source tooling and automation frameworks
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering teams
- Bonus: Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef; embedded build systems
