Role Summary

Hands-on delivery engineer responsible for building a network configuration automation platform

in a client environment. Works under the technical direction of the Automation Consultant,

participating in discovery sessions and owning the build and validation of the config automation

pipeline from lab through client environment delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in configuration management discovery sessions alongside senior engineers and

client SMEs

Build golden config templates for agreed device types against a defined data model schema

and compliance baseline

Develop and integrate an automated config deployment pipeline into existing CI/CD tooling

with Ansible Automation Platform as the execution engine

Implement pre/post deployment validation using an agreed testing framework (PyATS, Robot

Framework, or Arista ANTA)

Build automated drift detection against the golden config baseline with configurable autoremediation

and manual-gate remediation workflows

Migrate and validate automation from lab environments to client target infrastructure

Contribute to operational runbooks and knowledge transfer sessions

Participate in agile ceremonies — stand-ups, sprint demos, and retrospectives

Network Source of Truth tooling — NetBox, Nautobot, or equivalent -1years
