The engineer will partner closely with product development teams to bridge the gap between software delivery and system operations. By focusing on automation, observability, and self-healing infrastructure, the role drives operational excellence and minimizes MTTR across multi-region deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters to ensure high availability, efficient resource utilization, and secure multi-tenant execution
- Implement robust observability, monitoring, and alerting pipelines using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Build and maintain resilient CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or GitHub Actions to automate code deployment and integration testing
- Participate in a shared blameless on-call rotation, leading incident response, root-cause analysis (RCA), and post-mortem execution to prevent recurrence of production issues
- Optimize cloud spend and system performance through autoscaling configurations, load balancing, and architectural refactoring
- 3–6 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles maintaining production-grade cloud infrastructure
- Strong proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, preferably Python, Go, or Bash
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), managing distributed databases, or holding AWS professional-level certifications
