Location: Marlton, NJ
Job Title: Systems Engineer
Salary: Commensurate with industry position, depending on experience
Typical Shift: Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm
Travel: 70%
Position Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Windows Server operating systems on enterprise server hardware and virtual environments
- Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems using command line administration tools
- Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity including TCP/IP settings, DNS, routing, and interface configurations
- Deploy and manage virtual machines using Microsoft Hyper-V and related virtualization technologies
- Execute, modify, and troubleshoot PowerShell and Bash (.sh) scripts to automate system configuration and administrative tasks
- Perform system validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality of operating systems and services
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including deployment guides, configuration procedures, and system diagrams
- Perform system patching, updates, and configuration changes to maintain secure and stable operating environments
- Evaluate system security posture and compliance using vulnerability scanning tools and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to deploy and support infrastructure solutions across multiple environments
- Position requires a DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one once hired
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server environments
- Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) via command line / terminal
- Experience managing virtualization platforms such as Microsoft Hyper-V
- Ability to create, execute, and troubleshoot Bash (.sh) scripts in Linux environments
- Ability to create, modify, and execute PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks and troubleshoot issues
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP networking, DNS, and network interfaces
- Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining virtual machines and virtual networks
- Ability to analyze logs and diagnose system performance or configuration issues
- Experience performing system patching, updates, and security hardening
- Experience supporting server deployments, system upgrades, and configuration changes
- Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and their application in system administration, automation, and IT operations
- Excellent verbal / written communication and organizational skills
- Team-oriented personality
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification
- Ability to interface directly with end users to resolve technical issues
- Experience working with documentation and technical procedures
- Experience with containerized technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Familiarity with DISA STIG, security hardening, or compliance frameworks
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, emerging growth environment
- Experienced and technically proficient with Helm and microservices
- Strong oral, written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field)
- Associate's degree plus 4 years additional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, understanding of military systems and operations, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to identify, define and resolve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
