Linux Infrastructure Engineer (human)
Indexed description
Our engineering teams build robots — and the infrastructure they depend on starts with you. As a Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you'll own the Ubuntu desktop fleet that engineers, developers, and researchers rely on every day. You'll join a well-staffed and growing IT team, working alongside fellow Linux Admins, with close ties to both the robotics and DevOps teams — making your work directly visible in what gets built.

- Develop and maintain automated configuration management for Linux client systems using tools like Ansible
- Manage software deployment, package management, and patch cycles across the desktop fleet
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and local policies on Linux endpoints
- Integrate desktop systems into central services including LDAP/AD, SSO, VPN, and network storage
- Maintain and improve standard desktop images and provisioning workflows
- Collaborate with the robotics and DevOps teams on tooling and environment requirements for engineering workstations
- Document processes, write runbooks, and contribute to the internal knowledge base
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent vocational training and practical experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Linux system administration
- Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting
- Strong grasp of networking principles
- Comprehensive knowledge of Debian-based operating systems, particularly Ubuntu
- Excellent written and spoken English (B2 or above)
- Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
- A collaborative team player who takes ownership
