Indexed description

Our client is a high-growth technology company building large-scale, high-performance infrastructure for one of the world's fastest-growing consumer blockchain platforms. Their systems operate under constant load, processing millions of transactions and interactions where reliability, scalability, and performance are mission-critical.

The engineering team is focused on building robust infrastructure capable of supporting real-time applications at significant scale within a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

We're looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer who thrives on solving complex infrastructure challenges. You'll take ownership of critical platform initiatives from design through implementation, making sound technical decisions while balancing reliability, scalability, security, and speed. This is an opportunity to build and evolve foundational infrastructure that supports high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.

What We're Looking For

Above all, we're looking for a highly experienced infrastructure engineer who can independently solve complex technical problems in production environments.

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • Designing and operating highly available, fault-tolerant infrastructure.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code and modern platform engineering practices.
  • Writing clean, production-quality automation using Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Building foundational platform infrastructure from the ground up and making long-term architectural decisions.
  • Operating production systems with real on-call responsibilities, incident response, disaster recovery, and post-incident reviews.
  • Designing resilient multi-region and high-availability architectures.
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
  • Exercising strong engineering judgement, understanding when to optimise for speed versus stability, and communicating technical trade-offs clearly.

The following experience would be highly advantageous:

  • Infrastructure security, IAM design, and security hardening.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
  • Managing high-throughput data platforms and event streaming technologies such as Kafka, Redpanda, or PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with blockchain, Web3, or digital asset infrastructure.
  • Experience improving engineering standards through tooling, automation, documentation, mentoring, and operational best practices.
