Senior Software Engineer (Frontend Focused)

Full-Time, Permanent

Remote: Candidates Must be Based in Seattle

$150,000–$200,000 base salary + equity

About the Client:

An early-stage US supply chain technology company building software for small to mid-size manufacturers and industrial distributors. They have established enterprise customers, confirmed product-market fit, and are now focused on accelerating their product roadmap. The engineering team is small by design — every person carries real product impact, and that's intentional.

Overview:

The team is expanding their core platform, which coordinates inventory, purchasing, and shop-floor material flow for industrial customers. This hire will own the development of business-driven product features end to end — partnering with the CTO and product stakeholders on defining what gets built, not just how. The role sits at the intersection of frontend architecture, API design, and close collaboration with an in-house UX designer and wider business teams including customer success and sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Own full-stack feature delivery across a React/TypeScript frontend
  • Partner with the CTO and product stakeholders to define scope and requirements — this is a product ownership role, not a ticket-execution role
  • Collaborate closely with an in-house UX designer to implement user workflows cleanly and without unnecessary complexity
  • Design and review REST API contracts across internal and public-facing surfaces Contribute to architecture and technology decisions alongside the CTO and a Principal Engineer
  • Work with agentic AI tooling as a genuine productivity multiplier in your day-to-day engineering

Required Skills and Experience

  • 6+ years building production web applications with React and TypeScript
  • Strong Next.js experience including server-side rendering
  • Solid REST API design thinking — resource modelling, error handling, pagination, versioning Distributed systems and microservices experience — conceptual depth matters more than a specific language
  • Product ownership mentality — you will be shaping scope and trade-offs, not executing pre-defined specs
  • US work authorised — no visa sponsorship available
  • Candidates must be located in either Seattle

Nice to Have

  • Background in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or industrial operations
  • Experience working directly with a CTO or founders at an early-stage company
  • Active use of agentic AI tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) in your day-to-day workflow

Interview Process:

  • Initial conversation with the CTO or a member of the engineering team
  • Paid take-home project (10–20 hours)
  • Final multidisciplinary interview with the wider team
