We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to help design, build, and maintain modern digital banking applications and integrations. This role is best suited for a mid‑level engineer who enjoys hands‑on development, learning new systems, and collaborating closely with business and technology partners.
This position is hybrid, based onsite in Palo Alto, CA
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience, including full‑stack application development
- Hands‑on experience building applications using:
- Modern front‑end frameworks such as React (Angular is a plus)
- Back‑end technologies such as Node.js or Python
- Relational databases using SQL
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs with an understanding of secure coding practices
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to debug and resolve application issues
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a collaborative, deadline‑driven environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Exposure to financial services, banking, or credit union environments
- Familiarity with legacy systems or languages (e.g., Perl)
- Experience with project tracking tools such as Jira
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code across front‑end and back‑end components
- Build and consume secure APIs and third‑party integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development and production environments
- Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver practical technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development and release processes
- Contribute to technical documentation and team knowledge sharing
- Support ongoing improvements and gradual modernization of existing applications
