Senior Software Engineer I

You will play a key role throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from understanding business requirements and designing technical solutions to coding, testing, deployment, and production support. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, embraces Agile development practices, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve software quality, team collaboration, and engineering efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end engineering practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, quality, and responsiveness.
- Follow and advocate best engineering practices including SOLID principles, design patterns, refactoring, Test-Driven Development (TDD), pair programming, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team effectiveness.
- Take ownership of software quality through unit testing, API testing, automated test coverage, and validation of critical business workflows.
- Proactively address application security concerns and support vulnerability management activities using tools such as Snyk, Qualys, and other security scanning solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, pair programming, and technical guidance.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software development best practices.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, software quality, documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- C#
- .NET / ASP.NET Core
- Angular (Angular 16+ preferred)
- TypeScript
- RESTful Web APIs
- C++
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design principles.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, data access patterns, and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices including code reviews, unit testing, API testing, CI/CD, and secure coding standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborate with distributed teams.
