Job Description

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a Finance Lead (part of the Marketplace Experience team) to own the economics behind the support operations that power our marketplace. You will be the finance authority in the engine room: owning the P&L end to end, setting the forecasting cadence, building the models and tools that give leadership real visibility, and turning the numbers into the decisions that shape how we operate across markets.

This is a senior role for someone with a strong financial foundation, grounded in consulting, banking, or corporate/operational finance, who is rigorous with quantitative data and brings a high-ownership mindset to every number they touch. If your instinct is to frame the right question before anyone asks for the report, to fix the process rather than restate the variance, and to build the tools others rely on, this role is for you.

Marketplace Experience sits at the centre of Glovo’s Support operations, partnering with teams across multiple markets and BPO partners. This is not a reporting role, it’s an impact role, where the quality and independence of your analysis directly shapes how leadership allocates cost, capacity, and investment.

THE JOURNEY

  • Own financial reporting and forecasting end to end for Marketplace Experience operations: P&L accuracy, forecasting cadence, and credible Best Estimates that leadership trusts without second-guessing.

  • Set the analytical agenda: decide which cost drivers and unit-economics questions matter most, and drive them to a decision rather than waiting for direction.

  • Design and own the financial toolkit: models, dashboards, and self-serve frameworks — that local teams, operators, and leadership rely on across markets.

  • Act as the finance business partner to Service Delivery Leads, country operations, BPO partners, and HQ FP&A, influencing decisions and holding the line on financial discipline.

  • Lead the deep-dive on material variances to root cause, size the impact, and drive the corrective plan through to execution.

  • Own the finance workstream on strategic programs: cost reduction, BPO efficiency, and capacity/investment decisions, from framing to business case to follow-through.

  • Raise the bar for the wider finance and operations community: set standards, mentor junior analysts, and improve the team’s analysis even where you hold no formal authority.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 5+ years of experience across consulting, investment banking, audit, or corporate/operational finance, with real ownership of a P&L or a major cost base.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • Deep financial acumen: hands-on P&L ownership, advanced financial modelling, and fluency with accounting statements and unit economics.

  • Sharp analytical judgment: you structure ambiguous problems, identify the levers that matter, and know which analysis is worth doing.

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive decisions: internally and with external/BPO partners, without relying on formal authority.

  • Strategic ownership: you take a problem from framing to business case to execution, and own the outcome.

  • Hands-on and autonomous: you build what needs to be built and set the standard others follow.

  • Excellent communication skills in English.

  • Advanced Excel and a strong command of SQL and/or data visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) to build and validate your own views.

  • Position is based in Barcelona, Spain.
