About The Role
Are you a passionate Full Stack Developer ready to make a significant impact on our core internal applications? Joining our team means taking ownership of the entire development lifecycle from scoping technical requirements and establishing best practices to deploying seamless solutions. You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced, DevOps-focused environment.
Based in our Cremorne office, this role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract.
In this role you will:
- Support and maintain internal applications through effectively developing, integrating, testing and deploying solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to team processes and procedures.
- Consult with the business to scope, analyse and design technical requirements, providing an estimate of development time and associated risks.
- In collaboration with the architecture team, establish appropriate standards, best practices and methodologies to support the implementation of systems and development of applications and information architectures.
- Effectively manage the integration of solutions into the business to ensure a seamless and successful implementation that minimises business impacts.
- Improve the value of information provided to the business, ensuring integrity and consistency of data is maintained.
- Take a continuous improvement approach to identify and recommend improvements to business processes and supporting systems that maximise efficiencies and enhance the customer experience.
- Develop and maintain high quality documentation, effectively communicating with the business and key stakeholders.
- Maintain regular and deliberate communication with internal customers to enhance understanding of the changing business needs and priorities.
- Develop strong relationships with external providers to optimise performance in relation to the delivery of services.
- Relevant degree (e.g. information technology).
- Significant IT industry background with demonstrated application development experience with the following tools and frameworks:
- At least 5 years experience with Java, Groovy, Grails, Spring, Javascript/Typescript, Object Oriented Programming
- Front-end JS frameworks, such as React or Vue
- PL/SQL
- CI/CD tools, practices and automation
- Linux and Unix OS administration
- Sound understanding of commercial drivers.
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured, DevOps environment, with a high degree of ownership.
- Experience and or exposure to the retail energy industry is preferred.
