Software Engineer (Frontend / Backend / Full Stack)


We're working with a leading global technology consultancy that is looking to hire talented Software Engineers to join its growing engineering practice.


This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud-native applications across a wide range of industries, delivering solutions that are used by millions of people. You'll collaborate with highly skilled engineers, work with modern technologies and continue developing your technical expertise on large-scale digital transformation programmes.


The Role:

You'll be involved in the full software development lifecycle, building scalable applications and services using modern engineering practices and cloud technologies.

Working within agile teams, you'll help deliver high-quality software while contributing to architecture, automation and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Build cloud-native and serverless solutions
  • Develop secure, scalable and high-performing applications
  • Deploy applications using containers and CI/CD pipelines
  • Create automated testing including unit, integration and contract tests
  • Monitor and improve application performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions


Skills & Experience:

We're looking for experience with several of the following:


Commercial experience with one or more of:

  • Java
  • C#
  • Python
  • Go
  • TypeScript


Frontend frameworks such as:

  • React
  • Angular
  • Vue
  • Svelte


Cloud platforms (AWS preferred, Azure or GCP also considered)

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK or Pulumi)
  • CI/CD tools including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI or ArgoCD
  • Building secure, accessible and performant applications


Desirable Experience

  • NoSQL technologies such as Elasticsearch
  • Debugging and resolving complex technical issues
  • Delivering small to medium-sized technical projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Security Clearance:

Due to the nature of the work, successful applicants must be eligible for SC Security Clearance, requiring 5 years of continuous UK address history, typically with no periods of 30 consecutive days or more spent outside the UK.
