Our client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team building modern, cloud-based applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on full-stack developer who enjoys designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions. You'll work across the entire software development lifecycle, partnering with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality applications in a cloud-first environment.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software applications and services.
  • Build and maintain backend APIs and business logic using modern programming languages such as C#/.NET.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using React (preferred) or Angular.
  • Build and operate cloud-native applications within Microsoft Azure.
  • Design and optimize SQL databases, queries, and data models.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and deliver new features.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and help drive technical improvements across the platform.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years building and operating cloud-based applications, with Azure strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in backend development using C#/.NET (experience with Java or Python is also valued).
  • Experience developing modern web applications using React (preferred) or Angular.
  • Strong experience with SQL and relational database design.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Storage, or Service Bus.
  • Experience building microservices or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and DevOps best practices.
