Senior Software Engineer | Leicester · Hybrid · Permanent
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a talented team building cloud-based solutions in a financial services environment. You'll have room to grow, take on real responsibility, and help raise the standard for those around you.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with BAs and product owners to refine and deliver the backlog
- Design, build and maintain software solutions following best practices
- Implement test automation and support end users on production defects
- Mentor junior team members and lead on key activities
What we're looking for
- C# .NET proficiency with full SDLC experience in a commercial environment
- Design patterns, SOLID principles and Agile methodologies
- Test automation (NUnit, xUnit, Playwright) and RESTful Web API design
- UI skills — JavaScript/jQuery, Bootstrap/Tailwind
- TSQL and C# ORMs (Entity Framework, Dapper)
- Cloud experience, preferably Azure
Nice to have
- AI tools (GitHub Copilot/Claude/Perplexity), CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure Pipelines)
- Finance, wealth management or pensions knowledge
