Indexed description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend (Angular) Engineer to join a high-impact, strategic technology initiative. Our mission is to evolve a core business application for a market-leading enterprise, proactively transforming the platform into a secure, maintainable, and high-performance architecture.
As a key specialist on the frontend team, you will apply your deep Angular expertise to execute the complex, multi-version migration of the application's user interface, ensuring it becomes a modern, stable, and responsive platform.
Responsibilities:
- Execute the hands-on, incremental, version-by-version migration of the entire frontend codebase from Angular 6 to Angular 20.
- Systematically identify, analyze, and resolve all breaking changes, deprecations, and required code refactors at each step of the upgrade path.
- Tackle high-risk modernization areas, including refactoring custom PrimeNG components and resolving mixed form patterns (Template-driven and Reactive) to align with modern best practices.
- Replace all incompatible and deprecated third-party JavaScript libraries with modern, supported equivalents, ensuring seamless integration.
- Collaborate closely with the backend team to ensure the frontend aligns perfectly with the new .NET 10 API-driven architecture.
- Partner with the QA team to validate the refactored components and user flows, ensuring the application remains stable and functional throughout the migration.
- Implement performance optimizations and ensure the final Angular 20 application is fast, responsive, and reliable.
- Significant experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer, with a proven history of working on large-scale, complex Angular applications.
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience leading or executing complex, multi-version Angular migrations (e.g., from AngularJS or early Angular versions to modern Angular). This is essential.
- Expert-level knowledge of Angular (v7+), TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS/SCSS.
- Experience with Angular 6 is a significant advantage, as you will understand the legacy codebase.
- Strong experience with component libraries (e.g., PrimeNG, Material) and refactoring custom components.
- Deep understanding of Angular's module system, change detection, and routing.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and YAML-based CI/CD pipelines for frontend applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to methodically untangle complex legacy code.
- Exceptional command of written and spoken English.
- Working experience with NetSuite
- Take on a significant technical challenge and become an expert in large-scale Angular modernization.
- Apply your deep frontend expertise to directly transform the user experience of a core business application.
- Work with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and QA specialists.
- See the direct results of your work as you bring a legacy UI to a modern, high-performance standard.
- Be part of a quality first company, multiple options for getting new education and certifications.
- Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible
- A competitive salary and good compensation package
- Personalized career growth
