We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.

Principal Responsibilities

• Full stack engineering includes all SDLC lifecycle and adopt DevOps & Agile best practices to build up the future applications & platforms in automation and machine learning domain.
• Candidate(s) are expected to work effectively to collaborate with management team and/or other development teams across borders, work effectively under pressure.
• Work with Business team to understand the requirement and prepare/interpret business design document if required, develop technical specification documents and/or develop system accordingly.
• Design, Build and Deploy the automation & machine learning application & platform, providing support to the existing solution and products (including vendor products).
• Work closely with both local and offshore teams on the development and ensure successful project delivery with good quality and align to HSBC change management and release process.
• Apply Devops practise and tooling in the daily development activities and align to HSBC IT engineering standards; Proposal improvement suggestion on project deliveries.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.
• Candidate(s) would be required to work stream(s) independently in a reasonable timeframe in case of project need.

• Candidate should hold a university graduate certificate majored in IT or equivalent experience.
• A minimum 5 years of significant working experience in software design, development and testing, as well as relevant IT development.
• Strong programming capabilities and complex application design & development capabilities, plus Environment / Devops capabilities
• Proficient in Java application & API development, include but not limit to Java Core, IO, Multi-threading, collections, Springboot, spring Security, spring cloud, mybatis, microservice, preferably with experiences in large scale Microservices application
• Proficient in Front end development, include but not limit to HTML5, CSS, Javascript, Node.js, Vue.js, React.js, Angular.js, etc.
• Experience in scalable, high performance, secure application architecture and design, experience on Automation testing technologies.
• Experience on database, PL/SQL and query performance turning. NoSQL experience is a plus.
• Experience on Linux based system and Middleware (WAS Liberty, MQ, Container - K8S, Docker), Adminitration knowledge is a plus.
• Experience on Cloud development, engineering practise of external cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Ali Cloud). Be able to design and architect cloud base application is a plus.
• Understand DevOps and Agile practices, experiences with CI/CD solutions. Have relevant Devops tooling experience (Ansible, Jenkins, TerraForm) and be able to setup pipeline using those tools is a plus.
• Good communication in spoken and written English and Mandarin
• A good team player with strong analytical/troubleshooting skills, and self-motivated
• Experience on python & machine learning is a plus
