Job Description – Front-End Developer (Vue.js)

Position: Front-End Developer

Location: Leuven, Belgium

Start Date: ASAP

Long term mission

Work Model: Hybrid (2 days remote per week)

Languages Required: Dutch & English

Experience: 3–4 years


About the Role

We are looking for a talented and passionate Front-End Developer to join our team in Leuven. The ideal candidate has strong experience in modern front-end development, with a particular focus on Vue.js, and a genuine interest in creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing applications.

You will work closely with UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and business stakeholders to build responsive and high-quality web applications that deliver an outstanding user experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain modern web applications using Vue.js.
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive interfaces.
  • Collaborate with designers to improve usability and user experience.
  • Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable front-end components.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues and bugs.


Required Skills & Experience


Technical Skills

  • 3–4 years of professional experience in Front-End Development.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • HTML5
  • CSS3 / SCSS
  • JavaScript (ES6+)
  • TypeScript (preferred)
  • Solid experience with Vue.js (Vue 2 and/or Vue 3).
  • Experience with state management solutions such as Vuex or Pinia.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and API integration.
  • Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows.
  • Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser development.


UI/UX Skills

  • Strong interest in UI/UX development and user-centered design.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with UX/UI designers.
  • Understanding of accessibility and usability principles.
  • Eye for detail and visual consistency.


Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with modern front-end technologies.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern front-end tooling (Vite, Webpack).
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, or Cypress.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with UI component libraries and design systems.
